NIS America and Falcom have announced that a native Switch 2 version of Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana, will be released on Nintendo Switch 2 on February 25, 2027. The Switch 2 version will feature gameplay at up to 120 fps, and, for the first time ever on a console, co-op multiplayer via GameShare, locally or online, a feature that until now had been experimental and exclusive to the PC version. The game will also have Spanish language support for the first time.
The website ysviii.com has been updated with more information about the game.
