Shiromofu Factory Announces Dungeon Antiqua ZERO, a SaGa-Inspired Retro-JRPG

On X (the everything app), developer Shiromofu Factory announced a new entry in their Dungeon Antiqua series, a prequel titled Dungeon Antiqua ZERO. The post describes it as a Super Famicom-inspired hack-and-slack RPG, though the gameplay footage shown is clearly turn-based, so it’s possible something is being lost in translation. The game draws on influences from the original Famicom’s Final Fantasy II and Romancing SaGa.

The game is designed to be fully understandable even if players haven’t played Dungeon Antiqua or its sequel. Both currently available games are purchasable in a bundle on Steam right now.

At this time, there is no Steam listing for the new title, and other platforms have not been announced.
