Polish developer Pixelated Milk announced today that its long-awaited pixel JRPG, SacriFire, is launching a live, open playtest on Steam today. The playtest covers the entire opening section of the game, through the first major dungeon. Players can explore the subterranean city of Antioch and see the beginning of main character Ezekiel’s story.

This is not the first time SacriFire has held a playtest to gather player feedback. They’ve made changes based on that feedback and highlighted some of them in their announcement:
- A revamped battle system, with combos, dodging, blocking, and the ability to summon companions
- New music from composer Motoi Sakuraba and reworked audio design
- An overhauled interface with redesigned menus
- A larger skill tree for expanded character progression and more minigames
- Full Steam Deck, controller, and ultrawide monitor support, along with new difficulty options and visual customizations.
To join the playtest, visit the SacriFire Steam store page and click Join Playtest.
