FromSoftware has officially announced that its upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive, The Duskbloods, has been delayed to 2027, moving the game out of its originally planned 2026 release window.
In a statement shared on X, the developer confirmed the game has entered its final adjustment stage, but it still needs more time to refine the experience. Following feedback from the game’s August network test, FromSoftware decided to focus on improving gameplay balance and the overall combat experience.
The studio said players showed strong interest in the game’s combat and strategic depth. The extra development time will let the team make further adjustments to these systems before launch.
FromSoftware also apologized to fans awaiting the game’s release and thanked them for their continued patience and support.
The Duskbloods is an upcoming multiplayer PvPvE action RPG featuring competitive and cooperative elements, developed exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2. A specific 2027 release date has not yet been announced.
